Seasons & Terms
A Term in KeenTeam represents a block of the season — a pre-season, a league phase, a semester, whatever makes sense for how your team organises its year. Terms let you group recurring events into a defined period with a start and end date.
Why terms exist
Without terms, recurring events would run indefinitely. A term gives your practices and training sessions a clear boundary. When a term ends, those events stop — no manual cleanup needed.
Terms also make it easy to look back at a previous block of the season without affecting current scheduling.
Creating a term
- Open the team page and go to Schedule.
- Tap New term.
- Give the term a name (e.g. “Spring Season 2025”), set the start and end dates, and save.
You can have more than one term active at the same time if needed — for example, if you’re running a pre-season and a league phase in parallel.
Managing a term
From the term view you can:
- Edit the name or dates at any time.
- Add recurring events — see Recurring events for how this works.
- Archive the term once it’s complete. Archived terms are hidden from the main schedule view but remain accessible from the history.
When to create a new term
Create a new term at the start of each season block. If your club runs a spring season and a fall season, you’d typically have two terms per year. If you just run continuous training with no defined seasons, a single long-running term works fine.
