One-time events
One-time events cover anything that isn’t part of a recurring series — a league match, a friendly, a team meeting, a tournament day, or an end-of-season celebration. Unlike recurring events, they don’t need to be attached to a Term.
Creating a one-time event
- From the team page, go to Schedule.
- Tap New event.
- Choose One-time as the event type.
- Set the date, start time, end time, location, and an optional description.
- Save — players and parents are notified immediately.
Event types
When creating a one-time event you can set the type, which helps players understand what the event is:
- Match — a competitive fixture against another team
- Friendly — a non-competitive game
- Training — an extra, out-of-series session
- Meeting — an off-pitch gathering
- Other — anything that doesn’t fit the above
The type appears on the event card in the app and in notifications.
Tracking attendance for matches
One-time events have the same RSVP and attendance tracking as recurring events. You can see who has confirmed, who hasn’t responded, and send reminders to non-responders — useful for planning team sheets ahead of a match.
Adding an opponent (for matches)
When you set the event type to Match or Friendly, you can enter the opponent’s name and whether the game is home or away. This information shows on the event detail page and in the schedule.
Editing or deleting
You can edit a one-time event at any point before or after it happens. If the event is cancelled, use Cancel event rather than deleting it — this sends a notification to players and parents and keeps a record in the schedule.
